A New Chapter for Pixorium
Dear Friends,
I want to share a significant milestone – a new chapter, you might say.
For close to 20 years, I’ve had the privilege of helping clients turn their memories, images, and life stories into beautiful, privately printed books for their families.
This month, one of those projects took a further step. I worked with Dr. J. Timothy Johnson to create A Path Too Narrow? A Memoir of Improbable Journeys, and it is now available for purchase!
Tim was born in England and raised in the Bruderhof — an international Christian pacifist commune — and his book traces the improbable journey from that communal childhood to a career in international public reproductive health, working primarily across Asia and Africa as a civil servant for the CDC and other private and public agencies. It’s a thoughtful, fascinating account of belief, independence, and the unexpected turns that comprise and shape a life.
You can see (and purchase) Tim’s book here on Amazon. If you prefer to shop locally, you can order the book here from Decatur’s Little Shop of Stories.
I want to be very clear — I did not write this book. I’ve served as editor and production director, helping Tim shape, refine, and bring his story into its finished form.
For years, I’ve produced deeply personal books that live on coffee tables and in family libraries. This project shows that those same stories can also be professionally prepared for wider distribution when a client wants that path.
If you’ve ever thought, “Someday I should write this down,” I’d be glad to talk with you about what that could look like — whether for your family alone or something more public.
As always, thank you for trusting me with the work of preserving stories. It matters more than most people realize.
Warmly,
Jiffy
