Summer is here!
If you’re a Southerner, school has been out since before Memorial Day and July 4th marks summer’s halfway point. On the other hand, if you’re a Northerner, the Fourth marks summer’s beginning. (Interesting, eh? I realized this dichotomy in a conversation with my friend who grew up in Memphis, whereas I was a child in New England and the Midwest.)
Regardless of your orientation, for many of us summer means family time – vacations and reunions that include visits with grandparents, cousins, aunts and uncles. Families – that often wonderful, usually stressful assortment of folks whom we love, count on and yes, drive us crazy.

Protecting and sharing your family's old pictures is something I'm passionate about and think everyone should do. And, believe it or not, both the process and the result really can be fun, interesting and satisfying! But, why should you believe me and more importantly, why should you put preserving and sharing your old pictures and family stories at the top of your "to do" list?
